Slate Sculpture, Alan Turing’s Apples by Stephen Kettle
Stephen Kettle’s stacked‑slate sculptures of Alan Turing’s apples are striking small, life‑size works that celebrate the legacy of one of Britain’s greatest minds. Hand‑built from meticulously layered slate, each sculpture captures the quiet symbolism of the apple associated with Turing’s story, combining precision, texture, and contemporary craftsmanship. These three unique pieces highlight Kettle’s signature technique and offer collectors a rare opportunity to own intimate, museum‑quality works inspired by the pioneering mathematician and codebreaker. Ideal for modern interiors, art collections, and historical displays, these sculptures bring together fine art, engineering, and British heritage in a powerful, understated form.
