Peter Walker

Peter Walker is an acclaimed British sculptor and artist based in Staffordshire, with over twenty-five years of experience creating thought-provoking public artworks and installations. Recognised for his mastery of bronze and contemporary sculptural techniques, Peter’s practice explores the relationship between art, place, and the human spirit. His work is characterised by a deep understanding of form and movement, capturing moments of emotion and reflection through material and space.

Drawing inspiration from heritage, culture, and the power of collective experience, Peter’s art seeks to transform environments and engage new audiences. Many of his sculptures are site-specific, designed to respond to their surroundings and encourage a dialogue between viewer and landscape. His works have been widely exhibited across the United Kingdom and internationally, with commissions spanning cathedrals, civic landmarks, and large-scale public installations. Among his most recent projects are pieces exhibited at The Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral, and The National Memorial Arboretum, each testament to his ability to blend beauty, meaning, and place.

Beyond his own studio practice, Peter has served as Artistic Director for four national cathedrals, as well as curator and consultant for a range of high-profile cultural projects across the country. His leadership in the arts extends to Luxmuralis, an award-winning artistic collaboration that combines sculpture, light, and sound to create immersive visual experiences. Through this work, Peter continues to push the boundaries of how art can tell stories and connect communities in new, innovative ways.

A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors, Peter’s portfolio spans permanent monuments and temporary installations alike.
