Teal, Illulisat, Greenland
(Limited Edition of 12)
Buildings in Greenland are colour coded according to their purpose, this is an old initiative imposed by Denmark. Originally it was to help distinguish between the buildings at a time before street names and numbers existed but it continues today and is useful, especially in winter, when the days are short and the prevailing colours are white or grey. Illulisat sits on a Unesco protected ice fjiord.
This print will be available framed for £300 at The Brunswick Art Gallery in the heart of Bloomsbury from the middle of February 2020.
