Hamad Al Humaidhan

Hamad Al Humaidhan, who has been dubbed a child prodigy artist by Many contemporaries, was born on 11 September 1999, in Kuwait. Being the Second of four children, both of Hamad's parents, particularly his father, feature significantly in Hamad's artistic life. His early exhibitions were in England because his family lives in the United Kingdom where his mother is seeking a doctorate in Microbiology.

Hamad's love for art initially began as a hobby but quickly grew into an addiction. He immersed himself in museums, art galleries, and culturally rich historic buildings to further his passion. Inspired by his father's art books and watching him paint, Hamad's early paintings were influenced by his father's style. Interestingly, without any prior knowledge of Picasso, Hamad naturally adopted a cubist style similar to the renowned artist. Alongside the works of Salvador Dali and Jackson Pollock, Hamad fell in love with Picasso's art. His youthful emotions come alive in his paintings, featuring a mix of real, legendary, and imaginary characters. With mastery, he creates vivid expressions that can rival established artists when it comes to portraying society's subjects.

Hamad himself soon became featured in local and national newspapers following the sell-out of his first 6-piece collection, and then his second 12-piece collection, both within hours of them being released. Now dubbed by critics as “the Young Picasso”, in May 2010, Hamad was commissioned to create the Birthday Card in celebration of the 180th Anniversary of the Covent Garden market in London.
